Session description
New design of electricity markets, the auction schemes proposal and the use of other technologies such as demand response and energy storage to facilitate the integration of wind power, will all be addressed in this session.
Learning objectives
- Understand why we need to change the existing market mechanisms and what are the possibilities for future energy markets structures
- Listen to auction schemes proposals and how they will support the development of wind power and other renewable generation technologies
- Understand how other technologies such as demand response and energy storage support integration of wind and renewables power in the power systems and energy markets
