"Local impact, global leadership"

Sessions

Flow modelling for complex conditions

Resource assessment (on- and offshore)

When: Wednesday, 29 November 2017, 16:15 - 17:30
Where: Emerald

Session description

This session will focus on modelling the atmospheric flows for complex conditions (for instance forest areas) through Computational Fluid Dynamics and how this could be improved with the help of field testing.

Learning objectives

  1. Delegates will be able to list the key-parameters needed to model atmospheric flows in complex conditions
  2. Delegates will be able to summarize the key-parameters needed to be validated through experiments
  3. Delegates will be able to identify how the turbulence properties of the wind can be better modelled.
