Repowering as art, in harmony with nature

At WindEurope 2026, Nadara presents Wind Repowering Communities, a concept that reframes repowering beyond its technical dimension.

As wind turbines reach the end of their lifecycle, Nadara explores how decommissioning can become an opportunity for circularity, innovation, and community impact.

Repowering becomes art

In collaboration with Portuguese artist and WWF ambassador EdisOne, Nadara unveils a symbolic installation built from decommissioned turbine materials.

The piece reimagines industrial components as a visual expression of renewal, highlighting how legacy infrastructure can be transformed into something meaningful.

Beyond its artistic value, the installation reflects Nadara’s broader ambition: to repurpose materials from decommissioned turbines into resources that can support communities affected by extreme weather events across the Iberian Peninsula in 2026.

Where to find us?

At Stand 10-J50, visitors can experience the transformation process in real time.

The installation evolves throughout the event, illustrating the lifecycle of wind energy, from infrastructure to cultural artifact, and showcasing the principles of reuse, resilience, and circular innovation.

Together we power lifetimes to come.

Transforming technology into statement, in real-time

During the exhibition, EdisOne brings the piece to life on site, combining engineering heritage with artistic expression.

Visitors are invited to follow the process step by step, engaging with the story behind the installation and the broader message of repowering.

Why it matters

Wind energy does not end at lifecycle completion, it evolves in harmony with nature.

As turbines are decommissioned, the sector faces an important question: how can materials and infrastructure be reused in meaningful ways? Wind Repowering Communities proposes one answer: connecting circular innovation with tangible social impact.

The project highlights how repowering can extend beyond efficiency gains, contributing to new forms of value for both the industry and the communities it serves.
