We would like to invite you to come and see the posters at our upcoming conference. The posters will showcase a diverse range of research topics, and will give delegates an opportunity to engage with the authors and learn more about their work. Whether you are a seasoned researcher or simply curious about the latest developments in your field, we believe that the posters will offer something of interest to everyone. So please join us at the conference and take advantage of this opportunity to learn and engage with your peers in industry and the academic community.

PO413: ZX 300e Lidar: Industry’s First 200m Wind Measurement Classification

James Downs, Senior Data Analyst, ZX Lidars

Abstract

ZX Lidars has achieved a world-first classification including lidar measurements from 20m to 200m. This represents the broadest height range ever classified for any lidar system. The classification is also the most comprehensive to date, incorporating five datasets collected from three ZX 300e lidars deployed across three independent test sites.  The classification campaign was designed to meet the rigorous standards of IEC 61400-50-2, ensuring high confidence in the results. Each height within the 40-200m range was measured by at least two lidars, with one unit deployed across multiple sites to ensure consistency and robustness.  The full analysis has been undertaken separately by both ZX and independent engineering consultants DNV.
