Biography

PhD. EcD. Miguel Ángel Rodríguez has over 20 years of experience at the intersection of energy, industry, economics and artificial intelligence. He is currently Industry & Utilities Domain Lead at SDG Group, where he designs and manages end-to-end AI and data-driven solutions with a strategic, business-first lens. Previously, he held leadership roles at Acciona and Iberdrola, directing pioneering projects in predictive maintenance, sustainability, digital transformation, and the WindBrain® initiative. Miguel Ángel holds two PhDs in Industrial Engineering and Economics, an International MBA, and has authored numerous publications on applied AI for energy, maintenance, and climate scenarios. He also contributes as an adjunct professor, mentor and invited speaker at several universities and international forums, sharing expertise in artificial intelligence, data science and digital transformation. A frequent voice in the field, his mission is to translate classical, generative and agentic AI into impactful, responsible and scalable solutions for the energy sector.
