Biography
Mariana Batista is the Head of Education and Skills at WindEurope, where she leads the work on skills, education, and workforce development for the wind energy sector. She monitors European and national policies related to skills and education and convenes industry, policymakers, training providers, and other stakeholders to address the growing skilled workforce shortage through dedicated initiatives and collaborative projects. Mariana also coordinates the WindEurope Working Group on Skills & Education, guiding the sector’s strategic approach to talent development. Before joining WindEurope in 2023, Mariana built a diverse career across the humanitarian, political, and educational sectors in Belgium and Canada. She managed capacity building programmes, training initiatives, and education projects, working with international organisations, NGOs, and public institutions.
