Biography

Bryan Thurstan is a Consultant to the offshore and subsea engineering industries. He has over 30 years of industry experience, primarily in offshore and subsea oil and gas industry, and more recently in offshore wind. His experience includes work in Australia, the UK, Europe, Asia and North America. Bryan has been with Aurora for six years, and during that period carried out work on approximately 1/3 of the world's offshore wind farms, including over 8000km of cable stability and integrity work. Bryan and Aurora have pioneered many innovative approaches to assessing subsea cable stability and integrity, in particular moving away form inappropriate oil & gas standards, and developing bespoke guidelines specifically for subsea cables.
