Biography

Babasola Ogunnaike is an energy professional with over 13 years of cross disciplinary experience spanning oil and gas, renewables and the wider low carbon energy landscape. He currently serves as Strategic Technology Manager for Energy Storage at Subsea7, where he leads the evaluation, development and deployment strategy for emerging storage technologies supporting the global energy transition. With a background spanning engineering, operations and corporate strategy, Babasola brings a systems level perspective to the energy storage value chain. He is a Chartered Engineer with expertise in techno economic assessment, market modelling, technology due diligence and stakeholder engagement. Babasola has developed market entry strategies for renewables and emerging energy solutions, led business development for hydrogen and hybrid energy projects and delivered market intelligence to guide long term technology and investment decisions. He also holds an MBA from Imperial College Business School.
