Biography

Mrs. Malu Giral has over two decades of experience in environmental assessment, beginning her career in the Environment Department at SAITEC, a civil engineering consultancy. During this time, she developed a strong foundation in site-level environmental management and led strategic, large-scale environmental projects. She later joined SSE Renewables, where she currently serves as Environmental Lead for Southern Europe. In this role, she oversees all environmental activities related to projects across various European countries (Spain, France, Italy, Grece and Poland), throughout their entire lifecycle. Her commitment to environmental protection has also driven her involvement in numerous research and outreach initiatives. She has actively contributed to research and public engagement initiatives, participating in scientific symposiums and conferences, and delivering lectures in postgraduate university programs.
