Biography

Bernardo Castro Valerio received his B.Sc in mechanical electrical engineering from Tecnologico de Monterrey CCM in 2019. In 2022 he received his double M.Sc. in energy engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Lisbon, Portugal; and Industrial Engineering of Barcelona (ETSEIB), Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona, Spain. He is working towards his PhD as part of the ADOreD (Accelerating the Deployment of Offshore wind using DC technology) with CITCEA-UPC, UPC in collaboration with Youwind Renewables in Barcelona, Spain. His research interests include power systems, high-voltage direct current systems and renewable energy integration in power systems.
