Biography

Bart Klootwijk is a researcher at TNO's Energy & Materials Transition unit. With a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, he brings a systems-oriented perspective to the design and optimization of energy solutions that integrate wind power into broader energy systems. His work focuses on supply-side flexibility in hybrid configurations that combine renewables, storage, and power-to-X technologies. His research involves in-depth technical and economic evaluation of system sizing, optimal dispatch, electricity market participation and revenue stacking.
