Biography
Dr. Bernadette Power is a Senior Lecturer in Sustainable Business at Cork University Business School with extensive expertise in renewable energy acceptance and sustainable business practices. Her research at the intersection of sustainability, business economics, and entrepreneurship has appeared in leading publications including Energy Policy, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, and Renewable Energy. Dr. Power has secured competitive funding from the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) for community acceptance research. She served as lead Irish partner on the International Energy Agency's USERS TCP "Social License to Automate 2.0," examining gender and diversity factors in automated energy technologies across European countries. Currently, she contributes to IEA WIND TCP Task 62 on "Social Science to Support Wind Energy Planning and Participation," collaborating with global experts to synthesize research and influence wind energy deployment strategies worldwide.
