Biography

Dr. Jose Miguel Garro Fernández is an aerospace engineer who earned his degree from UPC in 2017. He subsequently completed an MSc in Aerodynamics and Computation at the University of Southampton in 2018. From 2018 to 2023, Dr. Garro Fernández pursued a PhD in Aerodynamics and Turbulence Modeling in collaboration with the Airbus Noise Technology Center at the University of Southampton, under the supervision of Dr. David Angland and Dr. Zhiwei Hu. In May 2023, he transitioned into offshore wind, joining Eolos, where he leverages his analytical expertise to derive actionable insights from complex datasets. His role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to support the deployment of Eolos' floating LiDAR systems, optimize data analysis workflows, and enhance the accuracy and reliability of wind measurement data. Dr. Garro Fernández's work bridges aerospace engineering, data science, and renewable energy technology, contributing to the advancement of precise offshore wind resource assessment.
