Biography

Miguel is a scientific programmer at DNV with extensive expertise in wind energy modelling and software development. Since 2009, he has contributed to projects advancing offshore wind resource assessment and numerical modelling, including work with the WRF mesoscale model and IEC-compliant performance evaluations. At DNV, Miguel supports WindFarmer through model development, validation, and bespoke scripting in C# and Python. Miguel’s core training is in software engineering, complemented by a Master’s in Oceanography and a postgraduate degree in Renewable Energies.
