Biography

Mr. Ravi Jyoti Deka is the founder of Akvotransiro Tech Pvt. Ltd., a startup pioneering the repurposing of End-of-Life (EOL) wind turbine blades into sustainable vessels under the Wind2Water initiative. He has over 25 years of experience in manufacturing across multiple sectors, including steel, industrial fuels, and inland navigation. In recent years, he has developed patented processes for bamboo composite boats and upcycled wind-blade catamarans, with prototypes tested in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. His research and innovations focus on circularity-by-design, low-carbon inland water transport, and sustainable use of composite materials. He has received awards for innovation with bamboo composite technology, and his work has been featured in publications such as Fortune India, Manufacturing Today, and WindTech International.
