Engineer, Ramboll
Biography
Toke Schäffer holds a BSc in Sustainable Energy Design and a MSc in Wind Energy from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). During the final year of the MSc, he joined Ramboll as a student assistant in the Primary Steel team, gaining hands-on experience in offshore wind turbine support structures. For the MSc thesis, Toke and his colleague Diego Bouzada collaborated with Vestas, DTU, and Ramboll on Estimation of damping through operational modal analysis for monopile-supported wind turbines. The work applied stochastic subspace identification to derive measurement-based damping values for validating Ramboll's monopile foundation design tools. After completing the thesis and defending his degree, Toke joined Ramboll full-time as an Engineer in the Primary Steel team, contributing to the advancement of monopile foundation design for offshore wind turbines.Posters
