Biography

Mrs. Wood is a science communicator and project manager with experience in environmental resource management and academic research. She holds a Masters of Marine Management and a Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, Canada. Mrs. Wood has collaborated with diverse teams on numerous interdisciplinary projects throughout Canada and internationally, with focuses including marine renewable energy development, fisheries and aquaculture management, and Indigenous and community engagement. She is a Project Manager for Net Zero Atlantic, a leading energy research organization advancing Atlantic Canada's transition to a carbon-neutral society. Mrs. Wood manages offshore wind engagement and strategic development projects, with a key focus on enabling conditions to advance a sustainable offshore wind industry in Nova Scotia.
