Biography

Mr. Steffensen has been working in the wind industry for about 6 years and is currently a Senior Loads Engineer and Head of Department at Wood Thilsted. He holds a master's degree in Wind Energy from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), where he graduated in 2020, and previously worked at Anemo Analytics as a data scientist for wind power optimisation. Since joining Wood Thilsted, he has been involved in more than 20 Integrated Load Analyses (ILAs) and contributed to several of the world's largest offshore wind farms. Industry partners have described him as an “invaluable asset,” commending his problem-solving skills, pragmatic approach, and ability to build strong collaboration across disciplines. His professional focus lies in the interdisciplinary aspects of offshore wind design, particularly the interaction between loads, geotechnical conditions, and primary structures. Additionally, he is a guest lecture at DTU, where he connects academic knowledge to practical industry applications.
