Biography

Robijn Brongersma is an environmental engineer at Boskalis, working on diverse marine infrastructure and coastal protection projects both in the office and in the field. She is actively involved in the company's Artificial Reefs Program, where she blends her passion for nature with engineering, aiming to balance environmental benefits with practical, real-world solutions. She studied International Land and Water Management at Wageningen University, specialising in adaptive management. This education provided her with the tools to connect her interests in nature, engineering, operations, and local communities, while effectively working with a wide range of stakeholders. Robijn values the collaborative nature of her work, seeing it as an opportunity to foster discussions and spark ideas that inspire sustainable approaches — solutions that protect ecosystems while supporting Boskalis' core business.
