Engineer, DNV
Biography
Emine Tırak is a project engineer at DNV specializing in wind resource assessment and the application of remote sensing technologies in the wind energy sector. She holds a degree in Meteorological Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, where she developed a strong focus on atmospheric measurements and data analysis. In her current role, she is involved in projects addressing the verification and calibration of ground-based lidars, with particular emphasis on aligning practices with the IEC 61400-50-2 standard. Her research interests include the repeatability and uncertainty of lidar calibrations, quality assurance of measurement campaigns, and the integration of advanced remote sensing techniques into wind energy assessments.Presentations
