Biography

Regina Yoonmie Soh is the Policy Director at the Energy Transition Forum in South Korea. Her work focuses on expanding offshore wind energy in harmony with marine biodiversity, enhancing local benefit-sharing mechanisms, and mitigating stakeholder conflicts through deliberative processes. She holds a Master's degree in Renewable Energy Policy and has completed her Ph.D. coursework at the Graduate School of Environmental Studies at Seoul National University. Her research explores citizen participation, energy cooperatives, and sustainable governance models. In 2024, she published the policy report “Government-led Offshore Wind Site Selection System” and continues to engage in institutional reform efforts for a just and effective energy transition.
