Biography

Pooyan Ghasemi is Geotechnical Lead Expert at RWE Offshore Wind. He has extensive experience in offshore foundation design and geotechnical engineering, with a focus on pile drivability, soil-structure interaction, and installation risk management. At RWE, he provides technical leadership across major offshore wind projects, covering monopile design, soil resistance modelling, and assessment of phenomena such as self-weight penetration and pile run. Pooyan works closely with internal teams, contractors, and external research partners to develop innovative and cost-effective geotechnical solutions that support the reliable and sustainable delivery of offshore wind farms.
