Biography

Pierre Dagnely, PhD, is a Data Scientist with more than a decade of experience applying advanced artificial intelligence and data-driven methods to industrial challenges. At Sirris, the Belgian technology industry's collective research center, he drives and supports R&D projects in predictive maintenance, computer vision, natural language processing, and large-scale data analytics. He earned his PhD in Computer Science at the Université libre de Bruxelles, where his research focused on probabilistic modeling for real-time anomaly detection in renewable energy systems, combining time series and event logs with semantic technologies for data harmonization. Pierre specializes in bridging the gap between cutting-edge AI research and practical applications, from monitoring the performance of industrial assets to designing safety-critical detection systems in public infrastructure. He is passionate about turning complex results into clear, actionable insights for industry stakeholders.
