Biography

With over five years of experience in offshore wind, Paula Sola works in the Energy Assessment and Metocean area at Ocean Winds. Her expertise includes wind resource assessment, energy yield assessments, optimization of wind turbine layouts, and the design and analysis of metocean campaigns, including floating and fixed LiDARs, met masts, and wave and oceanographic instruments. She combines advanced data processing with a strong focus on maximizing annual energy production, contributing to multiple international projects across the North Sea, Mediterranean, Atlantic, Pacific and Baltic regions, and is skilled in integrating long-term climate records into EYAs. Her coauthor, Miguel Cordoba, has more than 20 years of experience in onshore and offshore wind, providing strategic direction and technical guidance that have been instrumental in shaping their collaborative work.
