Biography

Mr. Rego holds a Master's degree in Engineering and Energy Management as well as a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. During his studies, he was actively involved in the TLMoto student motorcycle racing team, where he served as Chief of Mechanics, track tests and logistics coordinator, and later as subleader of the battery pack system for new electric prototypes. After graduation, he gained international experience as a junior mechanical engineer at Northvolt in Sweden, followed by a 7-month internship with EDP's innovation ecosystem team. He is currently working as an R&D Engineer, focusing on European renewable energy projects, particularly in wind energy production, while also contributing to project management activities. His research has been published in the fields of renewable energy communities, smart house solutions, and electric vehicle systems, with studies including sustainable energy trading models, assessments of current smart home technologies, and regenerative braking in electric motorcycles.
