Biography

Mrs. Menendez has been working in the characterization of the metocean climate for engineering applications for the last 20 years. She is currently a professor at Univesidad de Cantabria and head the Marine climate and climate change team at the IHantabria institute. She studied 'Marine sciences', then she got a master degree and Phd in the civil engineering Santander school. Her research is focused in the develepment of tools for a proper characterization of geophysical variables, mainly winds, waves and sea level.
