Biography

Ms. Shami is engaged in interdisciplinary work at the intersection of infrastructure sustainability and environmental protection, combining technical innovation with ecological awareness. She is working as a Software Engineer at Spoor, a company developing AI-based solutions to protect bird populations by detecting and tracking birds to mitigate collision risks with man-made structures. She is also currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in smarter maintenance of road infrastructure at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim, Norway. Her research focuses on the application of computer vision and AI to improve the monitoring, management, and longevity of road infrastructure systems.
