Biography

Mrs. Botero is a professor at the Industrial University of Santander in Colombia. She did her Ph.D. at the University of Twente, in the Netherlands, working in wind turbine noise prediction. During her PhD she also studied boundary layer development, inflow turbulence interaction with boundary layer, and the effect of inflow turbulence and tripping devices on airfoil noise production. In 2024 she started as a postdoc researcher at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, where she has been investigating the underwater noise footprint of offshore energy devices.
