Biography

Mr. Jon López de Maturana Echevarría has over 15 years of experience in the wind energy sector. He is currently Head of Wind & Site at Statkraft, where he leads a global team and drives technical excellence in wind resource assessment. He holds degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Renewable Energy from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, and in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Europea de Madrid. Jon has contributed to more than 1000 wind projects worldwide, optimizing layouts and improving performance across diverse terrains. He also teaches Wind Resource Assessment at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and regularly presents at international conferences such as WindEurope. Jon is recognized for his contributions to technical excellence and sustainability in the renewable energy sector, combining leadership, innovation, and a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
