Biography

Mr. José María Moreu Gamazo is Deputy Director of Artificial Intelligence Department at HI-Iberia Ingeniería y Proyectos in Madrid, where he develops advanced deep learning models and leads projects in sectors such as defense, energy and maritime engineering. He studied Naval and Oceanic Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, graduating top of his class, and later obtained a Master's degree in Big Data from Universidad Pontificia Comillas and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a Fulbright-Cosentino Fellow. Before joining HI-Iberia, he gained research experience at MIT in optimization and adaptive control, and at Telefónica in Big Data innovation. His work includes the design and deployment of AI-based solutions for predictive maintenance in the Spanish Navy (MAPRE), optimization of offshore wind farms (E-PROA, OPTIMAR), and intelligent control of propulsion systems (SPECTRUM). He has co-authored several publications in international conferences, on deep learning applications.
