Alex Hampson is a Partner (Renewables) at ERM with 15 years of experience in developing, consenting, and assessing major infrastructure projects, specializing in offshore wind and associated onshore grid connections. Passionate about advancing renewable energy goals in the UK and globally, Alex has supported projects across England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, and wider Europe through all stages—from site selection and lease applications to Environmental Impact Assessment, consenting, and post-consent compliance. They have extensive experience managing multidisciplinary teams of over 25 Environmental Consultants, including Project Managers, EIA Coordinators, and Technical Specialists, delivering marine energy projects in the UK and internationally. Their expertise spans team leadership, strategic communication, business development, resource planning, and performance management, ensuring successful project delivery and integration across company divisions.
