Biography

Dr. Irina Tanaeva is a seasoned professional in decarbonization and hydrogen, with roots in LNG and gas business. She held various Technology and Project Management positions at Shell in The Netherlands and Norway before joining Aker Solutions in 2022 as Hydrogen & Derivatives Director. During 16 years at Shell Irina led cross-business global teams to accelerate energy transition of 10 LNG projects and 8 assets and developed a pioneering liquid hydrogen value chain. She was responsible for Shell Global Future LNG Technology Program, driving technology commercialization and strategic partnerships. Currently, Irina is leading Aker Solutions' hydrogen global business development. She is also responsible for hydrogen strategy development, operationalization and partnerships in support of offshore and onshore hydrogen production projects.
