Biography
Research Professor Nummelin has been working with ocean and climate science over 10 years and has recently gained interest in studying the renewable energy - ocean - environment nexus. He has studied ocean and climate physics at the University of Helsinki and University of Bergen, and after graduation spent time studying ocean mesoscale turbulence and applying Earth System Models to questions of past and future climates. For the past 2 years his has been working on projects relating to safe offshore wind energy operations and the impact of offshore wind farms on the marine environment.Posters
