Biography

Mr. Ioannis Kissas has been working in the wind energy sector since 2022. He is currently part of the Wind Resource Department at Enallaktiki Energiaki, where he focuses on the collection, processing, and analysis of meteorological data, as well as wind potential and wind farm energy yield assessment using CFD tools. He studied Physics at the University of Ioannina and continued with a Master's degree in Atmospheric Sciences and Environment. He is an active member of international expert groups, including the Measnet Site Assessment group, the Measnet Remote Sensing Device (RSD) group, and IEA Wind Task 52 on Scanning LiDAR. He has also participated in technical workshops and calibration tests with leading research organizations such as DTU. His research interests include remote sensing applications, wind resource assessment, and the integration of advanced atmospheric modeling techniques in wind energy projects.
