Biography

Hannah Sylvester is a senior project engineer specializing in environmental aspects of the wind energy sector. Since 2020, she has been working at ENERCON's research and development department (WRD Wobben Research and Development GmbH) in the Environmental Compatibility division, focusing on topics such as bat and bird protection, shadow flicker control as well as radar and aviation-related issues. Her work in species protection and aviation-related issues is closely linked to her participation in national and European committees, where she contributes to shaping regulatory frameworks and technical standards. Prior to that, she gained experience in rotor blade production and she holds a master's degree in Energy and Environmental Engineering from the Hamburg University of Technology. A key part of her work involves overcoming permitting barriers through technological solutions thereby contributing to smoother approval processes for wind energy projects.
