Biography

Gregor Giebel worked for 29 years at Risø National Laboratory and its successor, DTU Wind, in energy meteorology. Heis worked on wind power forecasting throughout his entire career, and is now is the Operating Agent of IEA Wind Task 51 on Forecasting. Other fields of interest include energy systems, wind power integration and the limits of large-scale wind farms (in the EU Train2Wind Marie Curie network). He also leads the DTU TotalEnergies Excellence Centre for Clean Energy DTEC as well as a section at DTU Wind dealing with hybrid power plants and continental scale energy modelling.
