Biography

Dr Iliana Cardenes is the Head of Supply Chain Policy & Fund Design at Great British Energy (GBE), where she leads strategic market intervention design for the UK’s offshore wind and clean energy supply chains. She is also an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Oxford’s Environmental Change Institute, specialising in energy infrastructure resilience. Before joining GBE, she served as Associate Director for Climate Strategy & Delivery at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and previously led energy flexibility innovation and international climate science work at the UK Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (formerly BEIS).
