Biography
Panagiotis Zorlos graduated as Mechanical Engineer from the National Technical University of Athens in 1985 and since then, has had a continuous professional career in renewables, especially in the wind sector. He joined CRES in 1989, dealing with a wide range of wind energy topics in the context of numerous national and European research and development projects. He is currently managing a successful pilot demonstration project on a small Greek island, Agios Efstratios, which aims to demonstrate high penetration of renewable energy sources (above 85%) to cover the electricity and heating needs in isolated areas, combining various RES technologies, along with appropriate electrical and thermal storage systems.Posters
