Biography

In David's role at on Aon, he focuses on supporting Natural Resources clients and colleagues across the EMEA region, bringing a distinctive client-side perspective to help organizations design and enhance their risk and insurance strategies. David joined Aon in 2025 from National Grid, where over a 25-year tenure he served as Group Head of Insurance and Claims and held a range of senior finance and leadership roles, including Chair of Captives, Pension Trustee, Investor Relations, Head of IT Finance, and led a major transformation of the CFO's finance organization. With more than 30 years’ experience spanning underwriting, broking, and strategic risk and finance roles, David has deep expertise in insurable risk strategy, group captives and insurance solutions for complex onshore and offshore power and gas projects, as well as in delivering long-term value from large-scale insurance and reinsurance programs.
