Biography
Antonio Hernández is a State Economist and Trade Expert (currently on leave) and is presently a Partner in the Regulated Sectors and Economic Analysis practice at EY Consulting.
He is an economist specialised in quantitative analysis from the Complutense University of Madrid, holds a PhD in Applied Economics from the University of Alcalá de Henares, and has completed the Public Resource Management Leadership Programme at IESE Business School.
He has 23 years of public service experience and 15 years as a Partner in consulting (EY and KPMG).
Among the various public positions he has held are:
• Director General for Energy Policy and Mines
• Member of the Governing Board of the International Energy Agency
• Vice Chairman of the IDAE Board
• Board Member of ENRESA
In the private sector, he has advised multiple companies, global groups, and specialised funds in the energy sector on strategic, business, and regulatory matters.
