Biography

Mr. Gournay has nearly 13 years of experience in the wind energy sector and currently serves as a Wind Analysis Team Leader at Wood. He holds a degree in Mechanical and Energy Engineering from the Institut Polytechnique in Grenoble, France. Starting as a CFD specialist, he has steadily progressed through a range of technical and strategic roles, contributing to wind energy projects across diverse environments, onshore and offshore, from pre-feasibility to repowering. His core expertise lies in energy yield analysis, including site classification, turbulence modelling, and performance optimization. He has a strong interest in driving innovation within the wind sector, helping to develop new methodologies and tools that enhance project accuracy, reduce uncertainty, and support smarter decision-making across the industry.
