Biography

Andy Warner is the Global Service Segment Leader for Utilities at Hitachi Energy, overseeing worldwide operations and maintenance services for the renewables sector. He has partnered with major wind farm developers to deliver long‑term service agreements and maintenance solutions for substations across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Andy began his energy career in 2001 with UK utilities until 2008 then taking 10 years out of the industry before returning to the sector in 2018 to support onshore and offshore wind farms. His expertise spans O&M installation, commissioning, and upgrade and refurbishment programs. Before rejoining energy, Andy held senior IT services roles at Computacenter and Arrow Electronics, leading global IT asset disposition operations across 120+ countries. His combined background in energy and IT gives him a strong perspective on using digital innovation to enhance maintenance strategies, reduce downtime, strengthen cybersecurity, control costs, and maximize renewable energy output.
