Biography

Anneke Hibma is Product Line Manager Marine Biodiversity and Program Manager Vox Innovation at Van Oord. She leads a multidisciplinary team of engineers and ecologists supporting Van Oord’s business line Ocean Health. Furthermore, she leads the corporate innovation team in pushing marine ingenuity forward within Van Oord. With more than twenty years of experience across hydraulic engineering, environmental engineering, and major infrastructure projects, she has held senior leadership roles in both industry and research driven programmes. Anneke previously served as Project Director for a dike reinforcement, spearheading integral design and interdisciplinary collaboration. Earlier positions at Van Oord include Manager Engineering, Manager Engineering & Tender OAice, and Engineering & Environmental Manager for the Ichthys LNG dredging project in Australia. She holds a PhD in Hydraulic Engineering from Delft University of Technology, has authored multiple scientific publications on estuarine morphodynamics, and is a long-standing member of Dutch innovation and knowledge platforms, as well as the Advisory Board of Deltares. Her work is driven by a commitment to sustainable marine development and climate-resilient solutions.
