Biography
Josche Muth is Head of Regulatory and Public Affairs for Central Europe at Danish energy company Ørsted.
Josche leads a team of diverse energy specialists in Germany and directors in Sweden, Poland and the Netherlands.
His tasks include contributing to Ørsted's strategy in direct and indirect electrification as well as supporting the analysis of legal frameworks in core markets. Moreover, Josche represents Ørsted on related regulatory and public affairs matters.
Prior to joining Ørsted, Josche worked for the German International Cooperation Agency, GIZ. First as head of secretariat of the German-Mexican energy partnership based in Mexico, and thereafter seconded as senior energy expert to the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) in Germany.
From 2007 to 2016, Josche was based in Brussels, starting as head of office and adviser to the European Parliament's Vice-President and member of the industry and energy committee (ITRE) before becoming the Secretary General of the European renewable energy industries' umbrella association (EREC).
