Biography

Daniel Buhagiar is the Co-Founder and CEO of FLASC B.V., developing a patented hydro-pneumatic offshore energy storage solution for large-scale, long-duration offshore applications. With over a decade of experience in renewable energy and engineering, he has led FLASC from concept to market-ready technology, securing Tier 1 industrial collaborations and European funding. Daniel's work has been recognised internationally, including the 2023 BlueInvest Start-Up Award for Net Zero & Decarbonisation. He is the co-inventor of multiple patents, with over 45 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
