Session description
Wind energy is set to become the leading source of electricity in the EU soon after 2030. And that's good news, because this increase will help European industry to reach their decarbonisation objectives in a cost-efficient way. But we are not there yet. New installations are slower than they should - despite some recent improvements on key markets like Germany. Grid infrastructure needs more investments. And energy consumers - who are willing to changes their processes to decarbonise but face intense international competition - would need a stronger business case for the bold investments they are to take. As the international environment grows more unstable, what are the levers that will enable us to accelerate our energy transition while strengthening Europe's competitiveness?
