Biography
Rachel Anderson is RES’ Global Head of Corporate Communications and Government Affairs. Rachel has worked in the renewables industry for 18 years, across the full project lifecycle from inception to generation and on a range of different technologies. Working with governments and industry stakeholders she has helped establish best practice standards in the renewables sector for community engagement and benefits. Rachel helped RES establish its Local Electricity Discount Scheme (LEDS), which enables those living and working closest to a renewable energy project to receive a discount on their electricity bills. Rachel has held a number of industry positions including Chair of RenewableNI (a joint venture between RenewableUK and Wind Energy Ireland) and served as a non-executive Director of Scottish Renewables.
