Biography

Thomas Winkler has been Managing Director of VSB Germany since 2020, a leading company in the development, planning, and repowering of wind energy and photovoltaic parks. The company‘s portfolio is further enhanced by business areas such as battery storage and bespoke energy solutions for commercial and ndustrial clients. Previously, he served as Head of Corporate Transactions at VSB, where he played a key role in negotiating and structuring Europe’s first PPA Power Purchase Agreement) between the wind energy and automotive sectors with the Mercedes-Benz Group AG (formerly Daimler AG). Within the VSB Group, he also held the positions of Head of Sales and Financing and Branch Manager in Romania. Thomas Winkler holds a degree in Economics and completed his studies at TU Dresden.
