Biography

Dr Ela Young is an expert statistical analyst with considerable experience deriving safety-critical probabilistic uncertainty outcomes across the renewable and nuclear energy sectors. Ela has worked continuously over the past two years on wind lidar analyses. She is the technical lead and project manager for an ongoing succession of floating lidar system (FLS) validation projects which include accuracy, availability, and uncertainty modelling of FLS units against trusted reference systems. She was also the project manager and technical analyst for the recent Offshore Wind Accelerator project “Floating LiDARs for Every Increasing Heights” where she performed lidar error modelling and uncertainty analyses.
