WindEurope jobs report to be launched at event

On 28 November, WindEurope will launch its latest report titled, “Local impact, global leadership” at WindEurope Conference & Exhibition 2017. This report details the remarkable developments and benefits the wind industry has brought to the European economy; generating revenue to local communities, creating tens of thousands of high-skilled jobs and reducing Europe’s fuel import dependency.
Highlights of this report include:
- Number of jobs created in the EU in 2016
- How much wind energy contributed to the EU’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP);
- Total net exports and imports of wind energy in 2016;
- How much wind energy has saved on the EU’s fossil fuel import bill
